Can I use Powerpoint to make pictures for my DSA playlist ?

Microsoft PowerPoint is an ideal platform to create content for daily use.  For many users, it is the go-to tool for presentations. There are a number of options depending on your content requirements:

Export your static PPT slides as high quality jpegs

Perhaps the easiest way to use your static PowerPoint is to export your slides as images.

Firstly, we recommend that you change the resolution of Powerpoint output to 1920×1080 pixels. By default the rendered resolution from Powerpoint export is quite low so this will greatly improve the final displayed quality.

Once you have your presentation exported as images, you can just add them to your Media Gallery.

Export your dynamic PPT presentation as an MP4 video

If you have a PowerPoint presentation with animations, you can export it as an MP4 video. Details on how to do so can be found here.

With the video exported, just add it to your DSA Media Gallery

Use PowerPoint content for Hyperlink Content – Upload your slide deck to Google Present

  • Upload your PowerPoint presentation to Google Present.
  • Verify that everything looks fine.
  • Go to‘File’ -> ‘Publish to the web…’.
  • In the dialogue box that appears, select the desired duration for each slide and copy the URL.
  • Paste the URL within a playlist item’s hyperlink field.
