How to Manage Your Media Gallery in DSA Cloud

Welcome to our Gallery Tutorial. Your Gallery is the central hub for all your digital signage media. In this guide, we will show you how to easily upload, view, replace, and delete your media files.

Gallery Features

  • Intuitive Media Browser: Easily filter your media using System or User Tags, and toggle between clean Thumbnail or detailed List views to find exactly what you need.

  • Multimedia Support: The DSA Gallery supports Mp4, HTML5, JPG, and PNG file types.
  • Easy Upload: Drag and drop files into the upload window, or click to open your file browser and select media directly.
  • Media Management: View specific media details, tag / untag media files, download or delete media files from within the Gallery.
  • Intuitive Replacements: Using the Replace feature allows you to swap out media items while retaining their places in playlists or templates (as well as their playlist-specific settings).

Step 1 – Navigating to the Gallery

  • From your main dashboard, look at the top navigation menu.

  • Click the Gallery tab to open your media library.

Step 2 – Uploading New Media

  • In the top right corner of the Gallery, click the green Upload Media button.

  • An upload window will appear. You can either drag and drop your files into this window, or click the cloud icon to open your computer’s file explorer.

  • Select the image or video file you want to use and click Open.

  • Verify your selected file is listed in the popup, then click the green Upload button.

  • Once processing is complete, a success message will appear, and your new media will be visible in your Gallery!

Additional Information

Switching Between List View and Thumbnails

  • By default, your Gallery displays media as large visual thumbnails.

  • To see more detailed information (like file size and upload date), click the List View icon located at the top right of the screen, right next to the “Upload Media” button.

Replacing an Existing Media File If you need to update an image but don’t want to rebuild your playlists, you can simply replace the underlying file.

  • In the List View, find the file you want to update and select the checkbox next to its thumbnail.

  • Under the Actions column on the far right, click the Replace Media icon (the two circular arrows).

  • A window will appear showing your original file. Click the cloud icon to upload your new replacement file from your computer.

  • Click the green Save button. Your old media is now updated seamlessly across your network.

Deleting Media Files

  • To clean up your Gallery, select the checkbox next to the media file you no longer need.

  • Under the Actions column, click the red Trash Can icon.

  • A prompt will appear asking “Are you sure to delete this file?”. Click Delete to confirm and permanently remove the asset.
