Accurately mapping your digital signage network is a great way to stay organized and is essential for unlocking location-dependent features. The updated Digital Signage Solutions (DSA) Cloud interface allows you to easily assign specific geographical coordinates to any of your customized locations.
In this tutorial, we will walk you through the process of accessing your location settings and using the built-in interactive map to generate precise latitude and longitude data for your screens.
Interactive Mapping: Utilize a fully interactive map to pan, zoom in, and zoom out using your mouse scroll wheel to find the exact physical location of your screens.
Automatic Coordinate Generation: Simply click on your desired location on the map to place a marker, and the system will automatically extract and apply the corresponding latitude and longitude values.
Location Management Integration: Seamlessly update existing locations or add coordinates to new ones directly from the central Location Management hub.
Step 1: Accessing Location Settings
Navigate to Admin Settings: From your dashboard, click the cog icon in the top right corner of the screen to access Admin Setting.
Open Location Management: In the left-hand menu, select the Location Management tab.
Edit a Location: Select the specific location you wish to assign coordinates to from the list, and click its corresponding cog icon under the Actions column to Edit Location Settings.
Step 2: Setting the Coordinates
Open the Map: In the configuration window, click the green Choose Location Coordinates button. An interactive map window will appear.
Find Your Location: Pan across the map and use the scroll wheel on your mouse to zoom in and out easily until you find the desired geographical area.
Place the Pin: Click directly on your targeted location on the map. A marker pin and address bubble will appear.
Confirm Selection: Click the green Select button in the bottom right corner of the map window to confirm your choice.
Save Changes: The chosen Latitude and Longitude coordinates are now recorded in your location’s settings menu. Click the green Save button to apply the changes. A popup will appear at the top confirming the “Location Updated Successfully!”.
